Montessori of Calabasas is committed to providing both a nurturing and academically enriched environment for your child. We are open year round from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our center accepts children from the age of six weeks through kindergarten/first grade.
The Montessori classroom is a living room for children. Children select their work from among self-correcting materials displayed on open shelves; they are able to work in specific work areas choosing materials that are age appropriate and interesting to them. Over a period of time, the children develop into a “normalized community” working with high concentration and very few interruptions.
Our beautiful campus is located in the heart of the Calabasas Community. Our classrooms are open and bright. Separate play yards for our older and younger students are situated on over an acre ofnaturally landscaped tree shaded grounds. The campus is fully fenced. Admission with security key provides additional safety and security for your child.
Our school provides a true Montessori education. We are affiliated with both AMI and AMS. Our highly experienced teachers are trained and certified in the Montessori pedagogy.
The Montessori philosophy respects each child as an individual learner. Using classic Montessori materials and manipulatives, children are presented with the opportunity to learn at their own pace within a stimulating and nurturing environment. Each classroom is designed to encourage age appropriate concentration, focus, and development of individual discipline.
